Week 21 of 2012

This song I did for the Ableton - Beat the Clock competition. I've been recording one song a week using Cubase only so far and this week I decided to start uusing Ableton Live as well. I've been using Cubase only because it's the only DAW I had installed on my computer but when Ableton gave a Lite version of Live to SoundCloud users for free I downloaded it right away, although I hadn't done anything with it until now. I decided that this competition was a good opportunity to introduce Live to this project.

For this song I only used the sounds in the Live Pack provided for the competition which features sounds from M83, Junior Boys, and Nosaj Thing. Since I'm using the Lite version, I was limited to 8 tracks and 6 audio effects. And as it was the purpose of the competition, I only had 24 hours to do it. But having limited time is something I'm used to, since it also is the purpose of this project :)
