Week 30 of 2011

I just now finally started reading through the Cubase (getting started) manual. So now will I actually start learning the program better. I had always been using midi tracks routed to a virtual instrument in the "VST Instrument" window but after a suggestion in the manual I used instrument tracks for this song and they are much better. No more routing and confusing extra tracks anymore.

This is the second song since updating to 5.5.3 and exporting the song was impossible doing it the normal way. I kept getting "a cpu overload occurred during the export" error. This seems to be a common bug. Even in Cubase 6 apparently :/ Most people seem to get around it by unchecking "real-time export" but if I do that then my midi tracks won't export. My solution was to freeze a couple of tracks. Not cool!
